September has been crazy for us here at Juggling Swords HQ. Our PR client roster has tripled and we couldn’t be more thrilled about it.
One of our new clients, Escape Reality, had an important story to tell and we managed to secure some amazing coverage for them.
Escape Reality were opening a new escape room complex in Edinburgh and needed to create some buzz around it.
The solution, as is to most things in life, was to have a launch party and get key media outlets and opinion makers to attend.
Invitations to the media were syndicated weeks prior to Escape Reality opening their doors.
Escape Reality have escape rooms in Chicago, Dubai and a branch in Glasgow – newly opened last year. Coming to Scotland’s capital was a big deal.
Escape Reality have five escape rooms, with one of the simulators being a UK and, at the time, world-exclusive room, Tortuga Pirates. We knew this would be influential to the sell-in.
After refining the key messages, Juggling Swords created and syndicated a press release to all Scottish news desks with the amazing images our photographer managed to capture from the launch.
The launch party was a success and we managed to secure a variety of key publications and online media.
Overall, we managed to secure 414,475 OTS (opportunities to see).
The major winner was the Edinburgh Evening News as they used it both online and in print. The news outlet also used Escape Reality’s promotional video for ‘The Asylum’.
On social media, the story blew up on The Edinburgh Evening News Facebook page with readers tagging their friends and sharing it amongst themselves.
