Juggling Swords CEO John Durrant has been named in a prestigious list of Scotland’s top 40 entrepreneurs under 40.
The list was announced yesterday (September 12, 2016) after a full weekend of deliberations by a panel of judges.
Durrant is CEO of East Lothian digital marketing and PR agency Juggling Swords and only founded the company with his wife Desiree in 2014 after returning home from New Zealand.
John said: “I’m absolutely over the moon to be named on the Scottish Business News 40 Under 40 list, especially when I read some of the other names. I look up to many of the people named on the list so to be mentioned in the same breath as them is a real honour.
“I’m really proud of what we’ve achieved at Juggling Swords in the last two and a bit years. We’re really still in the start-up phase of the business and we have big plans for where we want to take it in the next 18 to 24 months.
“Getting a little bit of acknowledgement like this is a great feeling, especially when you have to put in crazy hours and manage a lot challenges within a start-up agency. It can feel like a very lonely place sometimes so to be named as one of Scotland’s best young entrepreneurs is a pretty incredible feeling!”
The 40 business people on the list, published by Scottish Business News, demonstrated business success, innovation and potential for high growth in the future.
Other notable names on the list included co-founder and CEO of Entrepreneurial Lucy-Rose Walker, Appointedd founder Leah Hutcheon and Bruce Walker, founder of WeAreTheFuture.
